Christmas light installation in Lake Forest

Lake Forest has bluffs, ravines and wooded lots, and some homes sit a long way back from the road. That shapes how a lights plan should work. Brad and Josh, a two-person crew, design each display on site, install it in November, look after it through December and take it down in January. We own the lights and store them for you. You never buy or untangle a thing. A short list of homes each season keeps the work careful.

Big frontage, long drives and where Estate fits

Lake Forest is known for large houses on large lots. A big front can run past 100 feet, and Everyday Roofline covers up to 100 feet of front roofline. We would rather tell you that now than surprise you later. At the design visit we measure every run, and you get one all-inclusive price for the whole plan.

If your drive is long, pathway accents can follow it so guests can find the house in the dark. Lights along a drive need power, and we do not do electrical work. We use your existing exterior outlets, and at the visit we will say whether an outlet is needed. Signature Estate designs the whole property: rooflines, tree canopy and trunk wraps, lit wreaths and garland, and pathway accents.

Stone, slate, ravines and wind off the lake

If your house is stone or brick, warm white sits softly against it. If the roof is slate, tile or cedar, it is easy to damage, which is a good reason to want no nails, staples or glue anywhere near it. Our lights are commercial-grade warm white C9 LEDs, clip-mounted. At the visit we look at what your roof is made of and tell you plainly what will clip on cleanly.

The bluffs and ravines here mean some properties catch the full wind off Lake Michigan, and others sit among tall trees that block it. Trees change the plan. A mature oak makes a good canopy wrap, and a trunk wrap reads well from the road. We design for the trees you have, not for a stock layout. A service call or maintenance visit during the season covers the wind.

Signature Show, timing and booking

If you want more than lights, there is Signature Show. It is a custom animated, projection-mapped show on your home's facade, plus full Estate lighting. We do the projection design with Midwest Visuals. It is by private consultation, and we take only a few each season.

Installs run early November to mid-December, and takedown is in January. The design visit for a Roofline or Estate plan is $150, credited toward your install, and it is confirmed once the deposit is paid. Call 262-300-7729.

How it works

Questions from Lake Forest homeowners

My Lake Forest house is wider than 100 feet. What then?

Everyday Roofline covers up to 100 feet of front roofline. A wider front, or a plan with trees and paths, is a better fit for Signature Estate. We measure every run at the design visit and give you one all-inclusive price, so you are not guessing.

Can you light a long driveway?

Pathway accents are part of Signature Estate. Lights need power, and we do not do electrical work. We use your existing exterior outlets, and at the design visit we will tell you whether a long drive needs an outlet added before we install.

What about a slate, tile or cedar roof?

Our lights are clip-mounted with no nails, staples or glue. At the design visit we look at your roof and tell you plainly what will clip on cleanly. If something should be left alone, we say so. The photo mockup shows the plan before you agree.
