Christmas light installation in Winnetka

Winnetka is a lakefront village with a wide mix of homes: Tudor gables, Georgian brick, shingle-style porches and big old trees. Warnimont & Wolfe designs and installs Christmas lights for houses like these. We own the lights and rent you the display. Install, in-season upkeep, January takedown and storage are all included. You never buy, store or untangle anything. Brad and Josh take a short list of homes each season, and when the calendar is full, it is full.

Lights that fit a Winnetka house

Many Winnetka houses have steep gables, dormers, bays and porch roofs. That is a lot of roofline, and it rarely runs in one straight line. At the design visit we walk the property, measure every run and photograph the house. Then you get a photo mockup of your home lit up, so you see the plan before you agree to it.

Brick and stone fronts look right with warm white. The light sits softly against masonry and old window glass. Our lights are commercial-grade warm white C9 LEDs, clip-mounted, so nothing is nailed, stapled or glued to your trim, shingles or brick. Everyday Roofline covers up to 100 feet of front roofline. If your house has several front gables, we will tell you plainly where the 100 feet runs out.

Lake wind, big trees and the Estate package

Homes nearest Lake Michigan take more wind in December. Every Roofline job includes a service call during the season. If a strong blow shifts a run, call us. You should not be on a ladder in a Winnetka winter.

Winnetka lots hold mature trees, and a bare trunk looks plain next to a lit roof. Signature Estate covers the whole property: rooflines, tree canopy and trunk wraps, lit wreaths and garland, and pathway accents. We draw the design up on site, and we make maintenance visits through the season.

Whether your front walk is short or long, lighting it helps guests find the door on a dark night. A lit wreath and garland at the entry finish the picture from the street.

Timing and booking for Winnetka homeowners

Installs run from early November to mid-December, and takedown is in January. The design visit is $150 and is credited toward your install. It is confirmed once the deposit is paid. After it you get one all-inclusive price and a one-page agreement.

Booking takes a 50% deposit, and the balance is due the day the display is lit. We do not do electrical work. We use the exterior outlets you already have, and we will say at the visit if you need one added. Call Brad and Josh at 262-300-7729.

How it works

Questions from Winnetka homeowners

Will lights hurt the brick, stone or old trim on my Winnetka house?

Our lights are clip-mounted. We use no nails, staples or glue. At the design visit we look at what your roofline and trim are made of and tell you plainly what clips on cleanly. That is the reason we walk the property before we give you a price.

How does lake wind affect lights on a house near Lake Michigan?

Wind off the lake is hard on anything outdoors. Your Roofline price includes a service call during the season, and Estate includes maintenance visits. If a run shifts, we come back and set it right. You never fix it yourself.

What if my Winnetka house has no outdoor outlet where you need one?

We do not do electrical work. We use your existing exterior outlets and tell you at the design visit if one is needed. Older homes sometimes have few outlets, so it is worth asking early, well before our November installs begin.
